Alison has an education background, is a qualified PE teacher and has lectured in student teacher education in both Australia and the UK.
Alison has compiled and written a number of inclusive coaching and info resources for England Athletics including
- Inclusive Coaching Guidance for AMBULANT athletes
- Inclusive Coaching Guidance for WHEELCHAIR athletes (Seated Throws & Wheelchair Racing).
- Equipment and Funding for Seated Throwers.
Alison has facilitated numerous coach development workshops globally, mostly in the area of Para throwing.
She was Athletics Australia Coach Education Manager for Paralympic athletics from 2004 - 2008 and was responsible for the updating and rewriting of Paralympic specific coach education resources during this time. She also faciliated the delivery of this Level 2 coaching course throughout Australia.
