Alison has followed a PhD study programme focusing on applied biomechanical practice to seated throwing. She is a world leader in seated throws research and was an integral team member of the Parashot project. Alison has an extensive publication record which can be viewed here.

The Parashot project has produced a number of resources for coaches, athletes, officials and biomechanics using evidence-based practice. All details can be found on the Parashot project website.

Alison has worked closely with Remap over the last few years, designing and developing seated throwing frames for many GB athletes. She is now a consultant to Remap working on developing a generic throwing frame for club use, thereby creating greater participation opportunities for seated throwers.
